| Search Tips ISBN Search A search using the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is the most precise search possible; every book in print has a unique ISBN. All ISBNs are 10 characters long, and are comprised of digits only, except for the 10th character, which can be a digit or the letter 'x'. When searching by ISBN, please do not include hypens or spaces. Title & Keyword Search The Title/Keyword search option allows for single words, multiple words, title phrases, & version numbers. In order to include as many relevant keywords as possible, small words such as 'the', 'for', 'guide', etc. may be excluded from some titles. Version numbers are included whenever practical to help narrow searches, for example, 'Photoshop 6'. Please note that we do notAlbergo Mejores record version numbers as decimal numbers (ie 5.0), unless the decimal portion is non-zero, for example, 'Photoshop 5.5'. Abbreviations are used as little as possible, except where the abbreviated name is universally recognized, such as 'ASP', 'VB', or 'SQL'. Finally, the default Exact Match option is suitable for most searches, but in some cases, try the 'Partial Match' option if you cannot find the title you are searching for. Author Search For titles which have only 1 author, the first & last name are recorded. For titles with more than 1 author, only the surnames are recorded. Please keep in mind that many titles have numerous authors which cannot always be fully included in our database. Keep in mind that the author(s) of a forthcoming book may change during its development. Publisher & Category Searches Ljubljana hôtelsBy selecting a particular Publisher and/or Category, you can browse all titles in the database which match the selected Publisher and/or Category. When doing a Title/Keyword search, this will narrow your search to a specific publisher and/or category. For example, typing "Perl" in the Title/Keyword field and selecting the publisher "O'Reilly" will limit your search results to Perl titles which are published by O'Reilly & Assoc. Including Not-Yet-Available Titles By default, our search engine includes only titles that we know to be published & available. By using the Include Not-Yet-Available Titles option, the search will display allhotel rooms Chania matches, regardless of availability. If you cannot find a recently published title, please select this option & repeat the search. Keep in mind that there can be a delay of several weeks between the date of publication & the date of availability of a new title. |
